Most points in Game 7 of playoffs: Stephen Curry CREATES HISTORY in Warriors blowoutwinover

Stephen Curry put on a show for the ages in Game 7 of the Playoffs Round 1 vs the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night. The Warriors star scored a jaw-dropping 50 points in a 120-100 rout of the Kings, sending his team to the NBA Western Conference Semifinals, where they will face the Los Angeles Lakers.

Curry was simply unstoppable from the opening tip, making 20 of his 38 shots, including seven triples. He also added eight rebounds and six assists in just 38 minutes of action. He had the crowd on their feet with every shot he made, especially in the second half of the game when he erupted for 37 points out of his 50 and helped the Warriors blow the game open.

Curry’s 50 points set a new NBA record for the most points scored in a Game 7 of any playoff series, surpassing Kevin Durant’s 48 points in 2021 against the Bucks. Curry also joined Durant as the only player to score at least 45 points in multiple Game 7s in their careers.

Curry’s performance was not only historic but also timely. The Warriors needed him to step up and deliver in the biggest game of the season, and he did not disappoint. He proved once again why he is one of the best players in the league and one of the greatest shooters of all time.

Most points in Game 7 of playoff game: Top 5

Curry’s 50 points are the most ever scored by a player in a Game 7 of any playoff series, but he is not alone in shining in such situations. Here are the top five scorers in a Game 7 of any playoff series:

5. Luka Doncic – 46 points

The Dallas Mavericks phenom put on a show in Game 7 of the first round against the Los Angeles Clippers in 2021. He scored 46 points on 17-of-30 shooting, including 5-of-11 from beyond the arc. He also added 7 rebounds and 14 assists, but it was not enough to overcome the Clippers’ firepower.

4. Sam Jones – 47 points

The Boston Celtics legend had a clutch performance in Game 7 of the NBA Finals against the Cincinnati Royals in 1963. He scored 47 points on 18-of-27 shooting, including a jumper with two seconds left that gave his team a 108-106 win and their fifth consecutive championship.

The Atlanta Hawks icon had a spectacular performance in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Boston Celtics in 1988. He scored 47 points on 19-of-33 shooting, including a dazzling array of dunks and jumpers. He also grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 3 assists, but his team fell short in a classic duel with Larry Bird, who scored 34 points and led his team to a 118-116 win.

2. Kevin Durant – 48 points

The Brooklyn Nets superstar had an incredible performance in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021. He scored 48 points on 17-of-36 shooting, including four three-pointers. He also had nine rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block, but his team lost in overtime after he missed a potential game-winning shot by inches.
